In a special request performance, Jaz-Zay' Soul Recordings artist Dedae' Patrise didn't have to fly to England in order to sing for the Queen for the holidays. On Dec.16th, 2006 the JSR artist flew to Detroit, Mi where as part of the Hall of Fame singing group "The Shirelles" got to serenade the "Queen of Soul" Ms.Aretha Franklin at her yearly family X-mas bash. As special requested guests by her Majesty Aretha, Dedae', as one of 3 lead singers with the Shirelles helped to shower the Queen with all of the groups greatest hits including Soldier Boy; I Met Him On A Sunday; Mama Said; Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow; Dedicated To the One I Love and Aretha's favorite song "Blue Holiday", bringing a delightful smile to Aretha that capped off the festive star-studded evening.

Earl "The Pearl" joins the JSR Family...

NBA Basketball Hall of Famer Earl "The Pearl" Monroe came to Las Vegas this February for more than the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities. He also paid a visit to his family. Musical family that is!. Earl spent a couple of days getting acquainted with his new family at Jaz-Zay' Soul Recordings. Earl has become a member of JSR Inc.elite Board of Directors."We at JSR Inc. are ecstatic to have Mr. Monroe on board with us, literally" says JSRs' CEO Greg Radford. "He knows first hand what it takes to become a star and also has a great ear for music. I've known Earl for many years since our days of working with Curtis Hairston and Pretty Pearl Records and I undeniably welcome his knowledge and guidance". Earl and the other prestigious board members will be revealed and introduced at "The Official" JSR release gala schedule in Fall 2007.

Trumpeter Skip Martin adds flavor to upcoming Dedae' Patrise CD...

R & B singer and jazz trumpeter "Skip" Martin added his patented trumpet sound to Jaz-Zay' Soul Recordings debut artist Dedae' Patrises' upcoming self titled CD. Skip performed on 3 of her tracks. One entitled "Dedaes' Dada" which is a funky background layered track reminiscent of Tom Browns' "Jamaica Funk". The second track entitled "R U Feelin' Me" is a sparse rhythm track that delivers a strong vocal message to our troubled youth, flavored with a Miles-ish muted trumpet. The 3rd song being a free style interlude called "Who's Dedae' Patrise. Skip who is currently celebrating the release of his "Miles High" CD may be more familiar to many as the Grammy award winning singer of the Dazz Bands' "Let It Whip" fame. Skip is currently on tour with Kool & The Gang ...

Sax man Keith Martin touring with worlds No. 1 Springsteen tribute band...

Whenever Jaz-Zay Soul session player Keith Martin isn't busy being Las Vegas' first call session player or sideman. You can find him and his saxophone on the road touring with The World's No. 1 Bruce Springsteen tribute band, "Bruce In The USA". Keith plays the role of legendary saxman Clarence Clemmons in the show. The show started in Vegas but created such a high impact following that they had to take the show on the road. You can hear the sensual and soulful sounds of Keith's saxophone on Dedae' Patrise's upcoming self-titled CD and on future releases from Jaz-Zay' Soul Recordings...

Dedae' wows crowd as part of award winner Larry Harts' "Praise" at Hartland, Las Vegas....

The Best of Las Vegas turned out in cast and crowd at Hartland, Las Vegas on Wednesday July 25th, for the 3nd exclusive performance of Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award winning singer and writer Larry Harts' presentation of "Praise" An Irreverently Reverent Gospel Experience..."I only use the best singers in town and Dedae along with everyone of the other participants were absolutely superb"!!! says Larry, as he looks forward to presenting his high energy gospel show on the Las Vegas strip. Dedae' was one of six featured singers in the show, singing two compositions written by Larry Hart. The other featured singers in the cast are Darcus Speed; Jeneane Marie; Jenevi; Paris Red; Nikki Logan and Mr. Larry Hart who wrote and arranged all of the songs performed in the musical. " I am truly blessed to be involved in "Praise" and being in the company of Larry and all the fantastic singers that are in the show" says Dedae. Larry Hart is also in preparation to launch his reality show "Harts of Vegas"...YOU MUST SEE THIS!!!!

Dedae' makes surprise appearance at Take 1 Nightclub Las Vegas...

JazZay' Soul Recording artist Dedae' Patrise made a impromptu visit at the Take 1 Nightclub in downtown Las Vegas. " We were scouting out places for Dedaes' upcoming CD release party and at a friends' request decided to make a stop there, says JSR Pres. Greg Radford. The clubs' guests were warm and very receptive to Dedae'. "We discovered that the owner had previously booked Dedae' on a cruise several years earlier and was also from my home town" . After treating the guests to a performance of two songs from her upcoming CD including the single "Superstar", It was assured that Dedae' had claimed her stake in acquiring new friends and fan-mily at the Take 1 Nightclub.

Justin' Thyme selected for JSR internship program...

JazZay' Soul Recordings has selected Justin' Thyme as it's 1st participant in it's internship program.. Justin was selected by JSR to be a part of the Media dept. with his first assignment being to film an episode of "The Making of A JazZay' Soul Star" featuring JSR artist Dedae' Patrise. If the episode proves to be satisfactory, Justin will then film subsequent episodes of the series followed by various other assignments. Justin' is currently a film student at UNLV.
